Chemistry Ph.D. Student Selected for the IPA Program at RIKEN, Japan

Mr. Michael Armstrong, a Ph.D. student in Chemistry under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyarat Nimmanpipug, has been selected to participate in the International Program Associate (IPA) for a short-term research project at The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN), Japan. He is conducting research within the Nuclear Structure Research Group, led by Dr. Hideki Ueno, in collaboration with Dr. Isao Watanabe.

Michael conducted the research entitled "A Computational Investigation of Intermolecular Interactions in Room Temperature Ionic Liquids Using Muon Particles as Probes," focusing on utilizing muon particles to probe intermolecular interactions in ionic liquids. The program runs from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025 (6 months).

Kudos to Michael Armstrong! 🎉 Your participation in the IPA program at RIKEN, Japan, is truly well deserved. We wish you success in your studies!
