Five CMU Chemistry Faculty Members Listed in the Stanford/Elsevier World Top 2% Scientists in 2024

Stanford University/Elsevier has recently released the updated list of the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists across various disciplines. Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, has distinguished itself with remarkable success.
Five faculty members have been honored in the 2024 rankings based on citations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukon Phanichphant and Assoc. Prof. Titipun Thongtem secured a single-year/career-long achievement in "Materials." Additionally, Emeritus Prof. Dr. Kate Grudpan occupied the position of "Analytical Chemistry" in the career-long category. For the single-year category, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kontad Ounnunkad and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sulawan Kaowphong joined the top positions in Analytical Chemistry and Materials, respectively. 

This success reflects the department's outstanding research and promotes its status as an international leader in chemical science. Congratulations to our colleagues!
