Department History
From 1964 to the Present
The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, was one of the first five academic departments established when Chiang Mai University began offering instruction in 1964.
The Department carries out three core missions: teaching and education, research, and academic services to the community, while also supporting arts and cultural preservation and the conservation of natural resources and the environment. Its objective is to produce high-quality graduates in chemistry and biochemistry who meet the needs of communities and the nation.
